Cost-saving Cleaning Tips
If you pay someone to clean your home, here are some ways to make their job easier (and thus cheaper for you). If you clean your own home, these tips will save you time and effort.
1. Reduce Clutter
Place your collectibles behind glass in display cases. They will stay safer with less handling, and save a bunch of dusting time. Leave only essential items on bedside tables, bathroom counters, and kitchen counters.
2. Use Liquid Soap
Here in the Southwest we have hard water. When mixed with bar soap and dirt, the resulting scum clings like glue to shower and tub surfaces. Using liquid soap helps float all the dirt down the drain, leaving a lot less scrubbing to do.
3. Spider Control
Especially if you have rustic surfaces in your home, you might want to hire a pest control company to keep the spiders out of your home. When busy spiders leave their handiwork on your rough beams or brickwork, the time spent by your housekeeper will go up significantly. Removing webs from smoother surfaces is less time-consuming.
Summer Entertainment in Vista
There's still time to take advantage of the Moonlight Theater performances in Vista. Shrek the Musical is running from August 12-29 at 8 p.m. This show will delight an audience of all ages.
