Sunday, April 1, 2 p.m. Fallbrook Library. Joe Rathburn will bring us music reminiscent of the 60′s and 70′s. His positive music speaks to the hearts of his listeners. Free Event in the Community Room.

 

Saturday, April 7, 7:30 p.m. Temecula. Special Easter weekend concert at Old Town Community Theater. Vaughn Williams’ The Lark Ascending brought by the Golden Valley Music Society and conducted by Jisun Yang. Next on the program is the uplifting and energetic Magnificat by John Rutter, performed by the Temecula Valley Master Chorale under the direction of John Byun. Tickets: $30; $25 Senior; $12.50 Students over 12; $2.50 Children 12 and under.

 

Thursday – Saturday, April 12-14 & April 19-21, 7:30 and Sunday, April 15 & 22, 2 p.m.  Temecula Valley Players present Blithe Spirit at Old Town Temecula Community Theater. This comedy will have you laughing long after you leave the performance.

Sunday, April 15, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. 26th Annual Avocado Festival comes to downtown Fallbrook. Contests, music, food, and unlimited fun for all. Click on the link above for more information. Free admission.

 

Wednesday, April 18, 7:30 p.m. California Center for the Arts Escondido presents Richard Smith and Julie Adams in the Center Theater. Richard, a fabulous guitarist, and his wife, Julie, an accomplished cello player will showcase a wide range of musical styles from Bluegrass and mainstream jazz to modern rock and pop to classical, and maybe even a John Philip Souza march!

Sunday, April 22, 2 p.m. Fallbrook. Mission Theatre presents The Chordettes, a ladies quartet that will charm the audience with the old favorites such as “Lollipop,” “Mr. Sandman,” and “Pink Shoelaces.” Tickets: $24

 

Friday, April 27, 7-10 p.m. Fallbrook Food Pantry is partnering with Fallbrook High School to bring a live benefit concert to the Bob Burton Center for the Performing Arts. “Cash’d Out“, a band that memorializes the unforgettable music of Johnny Cash. The Food Pantry will also conduct a silent auction. Tickets: $15-$20.

 

Saturday, April 28, 2-6 p.m. and Sunday, April 29, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Fallbrook Garden Club will hold their annual Flower Show and Plant Sale at the Fallbrook Community Center, 341 Heald Ln. Admission is free.

 

Sunday, April 29, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fallbrook. Grab your children, your grandchildren, your neighbor’s children and head to Live Oak Park for Arts in the Park. This very popular event is made possible by the generosity of many local artists for the children of Fallbrook and Bonsall. Fallbrook Union Elementary School District co-sponsors the event. There will be opportunities for participation in many forms of art, including music, drama, dance, arts, and crafts. Admission is free. For more information, contact Pat Dales 760-731-5420.

Sunday, May 6, 2 p.m. Escondido. California Center for The Arts, Escondido if offering a concert by the Civic Youth Orchestra in the Center Theater. Saturday, June 23, 2 p.m. Fallbrook Chorale will present its summer concert at the Bob Burton Center for Performing Arts, Fallbrook High School, 2400 S. Stage Coach Ln. Save the date. More information to come.
